Jim Becher, Partner
Jim joined BDG-CPAs in 1985 and was admitted as a partner in 1992. He is the partner-in-charge of many of BDG-CPAs' small business audit and attestation clients as well as many of the firm's employee benefit plan audit clients. Jim also has over two decades of extensive, diversified tax experience, primarily in the partnership and S Corporation area. His clients include affiliated real estate groups with real estate holdings in excess of $800 million, physical therapy rehabilitation centers and various manufacturing entities. Jim also provides tax planning services to many high net worth individuals. He is renowned for his talent and experience in both tax and accounting and for his skill in identifying and resolving key client service matters in an efficient and timely manner. Jim earned a Bachelor of Science degree from Ramapo College in 1985.

Neil Della Torre, Partner
Neil founded BDG-CPAs in 1982, after a career with PricewaterhouseCoopers, starting with a 6 by 8 foot office and no clients. He manages the audit and attestation practice and carefully coordinates with BDG-CPAs tax talents. Clients' needs served include Sarbanes-Oxley carve out work, a world leading filter manufacturing company, many employee benefit plan audits, and some individuals. Neil is also an Accredited Business Valuator under the AICPA. He taught cost accounting at NYU and a local college. Neil devotes substantial time to BDG-CPAs staff development. His mentor and personal advisor at PwC became Chairman Worldwide.

Mike Magee, Partner
Mike joined BDG-CPAs in 2002, after beginning his career at Arthur Andersen, and was admitted as partner in 2011. He works primarily with middle-market companies in the areas of audit and attestation, forensic accounting/litigation support, and audit consulting services. Mike's responsibilities at BDG-CPAs include managing audit engagements for non-public and public companies and performing due diligence reports for client mergers and acquisitions. He also works with larger companies to help them prepare for their audit by providing them with pre-audit services that help them test balances, review high risk areas, and implement best practices for internal controls. Mike earned a Bachelor of Science degree from Villanova University in 2001 and completed his Masters of Accountancy and Professional Consultancy from Villanova in 2002. He is also credentialed as a Certified Fraud Examiner.

Rachel Votto, Partner
Rachel Votto joined BDG-CPAs in 1999 and admitted as a partner in 2008. Starting in 2004, she has concentrated mostly in the tax area. Rachel serves many corporate and partnership clients including closely held businesses to multinational corporations with experience on acquisitions, reorganizations, international, multistate structures and complex tax planning strategies to assist clients in maximizing tax savings She also provides comprehensive financial planning to executives and high net worth individuals. Rachel is a member of the prestigious Estate Planning Council of Bergen County. She has made various presentations on new tax legislation and other tax topics. Rachel has strong technical and analytical skills and keeps current on tax issues and developments. She is a graduate of Villanova University and also holds a masters degree in taxation.

Ron Kral, CPA, CMA, CGMA
Ron serves as our COSO Framework Educator and Advisor in furthering our mission in strengthening clients through a foundation of sound internal controls. He is a member of Candela Solutions LLC, which is a professional services firm delivering professional education. He has worked with hundreds of clients, many through Big-4 firms. Prior to forming Candela Solutions in 2003, Ron was a general manager of a business unit for a multi-billion dollar company traded on the NYSE. Previously, he was a principal consultant with PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC) where he led operational audits and internal control projects. He began his public accounting career with a California CPA firm as a financial auditor where he signed audit opinions upon becoming managing director of the firm's Orange County office.
Ron thrives on empowering executives and financial professionals through active learning combating real workplace challenges. He has facilitated hundreds of sessions on COSO control and ERM frameworks, risk assessments, fraud, boardroom leadership, SEC disclosures, auditing standards and accounting matters. Ron is a co-author of The Board of Directors and Audit Committee Guide to Fiduciary Responsibilities. He promotes practical approaches with a keen focus on business realities anchored in professional and regulatory standards. Ron is a member of 4 of the 5 COSO sponsoring organizations; the AICPA, FEI, IIA, and IMA. He served on FEI's working group for the development of COSO's 2013 Internal Control - Integrated Framework and is a lead facilitator for the COSO Internal Control Certification Program for the AICPA and FEI. Ron holds an MBA from Arizona State University and a BBA from the University of Wisconsin, Madison.
